What’s Assignment?

An assignment (in real estate term) is a sale of a contract or right to acquire the property.

It’s a transaction whereby the original purchaser (the “Assignor”) of a property sells, and thereby transfers, their interest, and obligations under the original contract to a new purchaser (the “Assignee”).

The Assignee assumes all of the Assignor’s duties and obligations under the original Agreement of Purchase and Sale, as stated in the original Agreement.

Upon completion, the Assignee is granted the title to the real property and will incur all final closing costs.

The Assignor can transfer the right of assignment to another buyer (Assignee) providing the consent from the developer. We can help and work out with you for solution. And as a buyer, your cost for us to assist you is $0, and we will guide you through the whole process and assist you in the process.
